Scammers sometimes pretend to be businesses readers trust — including businesses like ours. So we are putting our promises in writing, in one place, where you can check them any time. If a message claiming to be from Traveling Savvy Seniors breaks one of these promises, it is not from us.

We will never ask you to pay by gift card, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency. Not for a guide, not for the book, not for a session — not ever. When you buy something from us, you pay on our website, travelingsavvyseniors.com, on a booking page you reached from it, or on our book’s website, theslowpathtowellness.com. When we recommend a product, or our book at a bookstore, the link takes you to that seller’s own website, and you buy from them at their checkout.

We never sell, or ask for money, in a private message — on social media, in a chat app, or anywhere else.

We never act as a visa agent or submit visa applications for you.

We will never ask you to pay in a reply, in a private message, or by sending money to a person. Our emails do carry links, to a guide you asked for or a page on our website. If you’re ever unsure about one, skip it and type travelingsavvyseniors.com yourself.

We will never ask you to send us your password, your bank or card details, or a code sent to your phone. Not by email, not by message, not on a call. Card details are typed only into the secure checkout page you reached yourself.

We will never rush you with a scare. No countdown scare, no “your account will be closed,” no urgent problem you must fix this minute. Real information from us can wait until you have had time to think, check, and ask someone you trust.

One habit protects you from most of it: When a message asks you to pay, sign in, or share personal details — stop, and go to the place yourself. Type the address you know into your browser. Never arrive by the link that arrived to you. Used every time, that one habit stops most fake messages before they can do harm.

And one gift to take home to your family: A voice on the phone can now be faked — even the voice of someone you love, sounding frightened and asking for urgent help. So agree on a family word: one small, private word that a real family member would say on a real emergency call, and that nobody outside your family knows. If the word isn’t said, slow down and check by calling back on the number you know.

If you ever get a message that claims to be from us and breaks one of these promises, delete it. And if you’d like, tell us about it at contactus@travelingsavvyseniors.com — write to us fresh at that address rather than replying to the suspicious message. You will be doing every reader who comes after you a kindness.
