Traveling Savvy Seniors is a small, independent website run by Mary Johnson. We share what we learn from living and traveling abroad after 50, so adults 50+ can plan with more confidence. This page explains, in plain words, how this site works and what our information can and cannot do.

For information only. Everything we share — articles, videos, emails, paid guides, and planning sessions — is general information based on our own experience and research. It is not professional advice. We are not lawyers, doctors, financial advisors, insurance agents, or immigration lawyers or visa agents, and nothing on this site replaces advice from a qualified professional about your own situation.

Affiliate links. Some links on this site, in our emails, and in our videos are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy something through one of those links, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Those commissions help keep this site running. Commissions do not decide what we recommend. What we say about a product or service is our own honest opinion, and you should always check whether it fits your needs before you buy. We may also earn a commission on some travel bookings we help arrange.

Insurance. When we mention travel or health insurance, we are sharing information, not selling you a policy or judging what you need. Some insurance links are affiliate links, as explained above. Any policy is a contract between you and the insurance company. Read its terms carefully — what it covers, what it leaves out, and its age limits — and ask the company directly if anything is unclear. Coverage decisions are the company’s, never ours.

Health and wellness. Our health, Medicare, and wellness content, including the book, comes from our own experience and research. Please talk with your doctor before you change your care, medicines, or activity, especially before a long trip or a move abroad.

Visas and entry rules. Visa and entry information here is general guidance only. Governments set the rules, the rules change, and officials make the decisions. Always check the official government sources for your trip before you act. And as our page How to Know It’s Really Us says: we never act as a visa agent or submit visa applications for you.

Things change. We check facts when we write and note dates where we can, but prices, rules, opening hours, and services change without notice — sometimes the day after we publish. Please confirm the details that matter for your trip, with the official source, before you book or travel.

Other websites. Links on this site can take you to other companies’ websites. Once you leave our site, that company is responsible for its own content, prices, privacy practices, and checkout. Their pages are not ours, even when we link to them or recommend them.

Your decisions. In the end, travel and moving-abroad decisions are yours. We share what we have learned so you can decide with clearer eyes, but we cannot promise that any plan, product, or place will work out the same way for you as it did for someone else.

If anything on this page is unclear, write to us at contactus@travelingsavvyseniors.com. We may update this page from time to time; the version here is the current one.
